About this event
The course will be delivered over 3 consecutive days: Tuesday to Thursday, 9 am - 5 pm.
Once you have selected a date and registered your interest a member of the team will contact you to discuss your eligibility for this fully funded course. Funding is dependent on your living or your employer/garage being in Greater Manchester and as a candidate, you have not already achieved these qualifications.

Please note that we will require notice of cancellation to be at least 96 hours before the course is due to start. Unless an eligible replacement candidate can be put forward, a cost of £500 will be incurred. By registering for this course you agree to this condition.
Course details
This course is for qualified Vehicle Technicians and Auto Electricians who have an interest in gaining the knowledge and skills to work safely when carrying out maintenance and repair activities on Electric/Hybrid Vehicles.
If you are successful in securing a place on this course, you will cover:
Electric/hybrid vehicle system components and operation
Hazards surrounding electric/hybrid vehicles
How to reduce the risks to yourself and others when working on electric/hybrid vehicles
Safely preparing the vehicle when carrying routine maintenance (NOT high voltage components or systems)
Working safely on an electric/hybrid vehicle (NOT high voltage components or systems)
Using information to carry out the task
Carrying out repairs on high-energy electrical systems
Recording information and making suitable recommendations
On successful completion, you will achieve:
IMI Level 2 Vehicle Routine Maintenance Activities
IMI Level 3 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement
You will acquire the core knowledge and skills to remove and replace Electric/Hybrid vehicle components.
All applicants are required to be Level 3 qualified in Auto Electrics/ Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or have at least 5 years experience of working in a garage environment.
Hot and cold drinks will be provided, Food is available to be purchased on-site or candidates may bring their own packed lunch.
