Trades have seen a 1.5% increase in earnings this last month (November 2022), 5% higher than this time last year, according to payroll firm, Hudson Contract. London, East of England, and Yorkshire and Humber saw all-time highs, however the North-East was the exception with a decrease of 2%.
Self-employed electricians enjoyed the highest pay of all the trades, earning an average of £1,199 per week with shopfitters, joiners, M&E workers, and plumbers all seeing weekly pay packets stay above the £1,000 mark.
